The evil eye is a widespread folk belief in a curse that is caused by the malevolent gaze of another. It is found in many cultures around the world, in which various protective measures are taken to avoid being struck by bad luck. Diffrent objects and charms are utilised to ward off the evil eye; they are worn, carried, or hung in homes, most often incorporating the contours of a human eye.
